Less than 100 made in those three years (1919-1921). Most model 24's are date stamped on the barrels, which they started to do in 1922.However the Model 24 did not start production in 1922 like the Remington site says but in 1919. The rollmark for Remington was applied upside down on this gun, which is somewhat unusual. It carries the Browning patents and dates. It has the original barrel length of 19" and is marked as a Model 24, not as a 24A. Overall condition is excellent with the original bluing. ![]() My gun is a first year production Model 24 Remington in. So it doesn't matter if the shooter is left or right handed.Simply put, it is a very elegant design. The shells eject from the bottom of the gun. ![]()
